Green Up Our Schools may be expanding in the near future. Want us to come to your school district? Click on the link at the right to tell us why.

For the Future

The acceptance process was difficult last year, as there were many excellent applicants for very few spots. To help with your application this year, feel free to view the list of common reasons schools were not accepted in 2009.

If your school is admitted to the Green Up Our Schools program, you will be asked to complete the following in the fall semester of 2010:

Waste Assessment

·	Perform this simple task with a group of students. (30 minutes)

In an effort to save resources, the application is only available online in electronic format. You will be asked to submit the following:

All elementary schools in the Newport-Mesa Unified School District in California and the Denver Public School District in Colorado are welcome to apply for the 2010-2011 school year. The deadline for applications is June 15th, 2010.

School Proclamation

·	Signed document stating the school’s commitment (may be turned in by mail or fax at a later time)

·	What have you done to “go green” so far? (Optional: include letters from students, parents, or faculty members.)
