Edison’s Waste Assessment
The Results:Edison learned that 75% of their classroom trash is actually recyclable -- that’s equal to 250 pounds a week!
Step 2 -- Sort it!
Using gloves, student and parent volunteers spread a tarp in the parking lot, dumped out bags of trash, and sorted them into different categories.

All the trash produced in the school in one 24-hour period was kept in one area.
